The Dakshina at Kattuveera Anjaneya Temple

After paying a dakshina of Rs. 50 at the counter, you will be given a numbered coconut, a betel leaf, a saffron bag containing coconuts, and a card with the same number. When we pray for the fulfilment of ones wishes , the saffron sack is tied with dakshina and kept in Anjaneya’s shrine, where Poojari makes a small pooja and returns it to the devotee.

Taking 11 rounds of the temple

A devotee must make 11 laps around the temple while chanting the mantra ‘Sri Ram Jairam Jai Jai Jairam’. 11 When Pradikshna is finished, the saffron sachet is kept by him for three months, separate from the sachets of other devotees. It is believed that only wishes granted can be fulfilled, and it is required to return to the temple to receive a saffron sachet once a wish has been granted.
